Mill Road Capital (Mill Road, or MRC) is an investment management firm with a mix of private and public equity investments and an uneven investment track record. The company manages hundreds of millions of dollars in assets and Mill Road principals have served – and continue to serve – on the boards of major public companies.

A review of Mill Road investments is peppered with examples that call into question the firm’s investment strategies and its corporate leadership skills. Several of MRC’s portfolio investments, led in whole or in part by MRC principals, have ended up either in bankruptcy or some other form of restructuring. Mill Road has presided over tens of millions of dollars of declining investment value for investors.
